As a quick brief, the Smoky Mountains are a segments of the Appalachian Mountains in Tennessee and western North Carolina. The Smoky Mountains are located between Knoxville, Tennessee and Asheville North Carolina. It is a popular tourist & travel location for Americans every year, with rent-able cabins located high in the mountains, yet close enough to towns and cities for easy access to products.

The "smoke" from the Smoky Mountains is actually not smoke. Its steam. Because the mountains are packed full of plants and vegetation, the plants VOC (volatile organic compound - a water type substance emitted from the plants along side oxygen) turns into steam from the high temperature in the mountains. All this steam than rises and lurks over the mountains, slowly moving downward towards the towns below.
