Throughout the years, many have gone on the Smoky Mountains. Many old structures like Cades Cove, Cataloochee, Grist Mills, Oconaluftee Mountain Farm Museum, and more. These old locations serve as tourist attractions as many see how people lived upon the mountains long ago.
It is estimated that their are 1,500 Black Bears in the area. Thats 2 per square mile! Imagine, everywhere you are, there is a high chance of a Black Bear being closer than a mile...
Because of the interesting location, which includes the Smoky Mountains and the fun of nearby Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, many have found their vacation to be in a cabin within the mountains.
Surprisingly, the nature surrounding could have been around during WW2, WW1, and even the American Civil War! These old trees make hikes around the mountain more interesting and impactful, another reason to hike up the mountain!
